UFC is at it again tonight (Sat., Feb. 8, 2020) punching you in the face all the way from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Tonight’s fights feature the following line up: Light Heavyweight title fight between division Jon Jones, defending his belt against Dominick Reyes. In the co-main event, women’s Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will defend her title against Katlyn Chookagian.

So what does this all mean? Jones Is going for his 11th title win. It is his 15th title fight, which is the most in the history of the UFC. He actually would have a lot more if it weren’t for his appetite for getting suspended.
However Jones has been trying to jump back into the scene by going all in. This is his 4th title fight since 2018, and it won’t be his last.
Before everyone gets off on claiming Jones will take the title home let’s take a look at his opponent. Undefeated (12-0) Dominick Reyes. Reyes has no plans to roll over and give the fight to Jones. Reyes has come up the UFC chain by beating intense opponents and earning the respect of fighters across the board. Reyes is known for his left hand punch and sniper like counter attacks.
In this fight size and reach matter, and and Reyes may have the upper hand, coupled with the upper cut. But Jones has something to prove and he’s looking to use Reyes to prove that point. Who’s going to win? I don’t know but blood will be on the floor and I’ll either be richer or poorer after.
