The Mizuno Wave Lightning is the most effective and efficient volleyball shoe that you could ever ask for. Here’s why: These shoes are designed with a feature called MIZUNO ENERGY, which provides exceptional comfort for your feet. All around the inside of the shoe, the material is soft and malleable. This helps your feet to stay fresh for an entire practice or game. The MIZUNO ENERGY foam design enhances your performance capabilities by allowing for better movement, while also fitting well. The Mizuno Wave Momentum 2 shoe offers just that. Another design feature that this shoe display is called INTERCOOL, which allows the foot to breathe well. When engaging in physical activity, your shoes heat up from friction and sweat, and the INTERCOOL system is designed to reduce the heat and humidity build-up in the shoe. The Mizuno Wave Momentum 2 was structured for athletes to not only feel great but to be more athletic and explosive. The MIZUNO WAVE plate is a feature that disperses energy from an impact to a broader area. Meaning the foot is being received by the shoe in every area, not just one section. If that were the case, the athlete would find themselves in pain after only a few jumps or movements. When the foot can land on cushioned areas of the shoe everywhere, the athlete can endure much more physically, meaning the shock of landing from a jump doesn’t affect the knees as much. A feature called the EVA Midsole provides a cushion in the middle of the shoe that supports the arch of the foot, enabling the entire foot to be involved in jumping movements. Using all the individual muscles in the foot ensures a maximum vertical jump, which is very important to me and other jumping athletes. This Mizuno shoe is designed with Dura Shield. Dura Shield is a feature in the front of the shoe that protects the toe from the floor. Athletes often push hard on the floor with their toes in an attempt to explode forward. Sometimes, with certain shoes, that constant explosive movement wears down the front of the foot. This shoe contains a shield in the toe to prevent pain in the toe and allow for more explosive forward movements. Another feature that helps the durability of this shoe is called XG Rubber. The traction given from this rubber provides the athlete with quick movements and also provides longevity for the bottom of the shoe.
